Precautions for operating electric forklifts (Ⅰ)

Before driving, electric forklifts must undergo technical inspections:

1. Check the height and density of the battery electrolyte. The liquid level should be 10-15mm higher than the partition, and the density should meet the 

requirements of the region and season. The voltage of a single cell shall not be lower than 1.75V, and the voltage of the entire vehicle shall not be lower 

than the minimum limit voltage (such as 20V for 0.4t and 0.5t electric forklifts and 35V for 2t electric tractors). Otherwise, the electrolyte should be replenished 

or charged, and the electrode connectors should be clean and tightened.

2. Check the power supply line. All wire connectors should be connected tightly and in good contact, the fuse should be intact, and all switches and handles 

should be in the stop position.

3. Check whether the instruments, lights, horns, etc. are working properly (close the emergency switch and open the electric lock).

4. Check the steering mechanism, which should be flexible and light.

5. Check the braking device, which should be flexible and reliable.

6. Check whether the bearings and related operating parts are well lubricated and flexible.

7. Check whether the walking part and hydraulic system are working properly, especially whether there is oil leakage in hydraulic components such as 

pipelines, joints, hydraulic cylinders, and distribution valves.

8. Check the forks and stoppers. According to the size of the unloaded goods, select the forks and install them on the fork frame to adjust the distance; select 

the stoppers of the clamping device, etc., and adjust them appropriately according to the height of the goods.

9. Check the forks, clamping mechanisms, transverse mechanisms, lifting chains, door frames, etc., which should work well and be reliable.

10. Check whether the towing hooks are connected firmly to determine the number of trailers when the forklift tows the trailer.

11. Check whether the forklift has any faults, eliminate hidden dangers in time, and leave the vehicle without faults.
